Does anyone know how you pitch up a note to another. In a upgoing movement? So the notes arent
loose, but are connected and it slowly goes up. I really wanna acomplish this!

HAHAHAAH this is not meant to cheat... this is speed up the recording process of a song.. working in a studio can be and fact is really expensive, time
is money... this kind of software save recording times... instead on focusing on the technicality of the recording, the artis can focus and the creative aspect of makeing a song

Singers that can sing well sound good, and even better after melodyne, if you dont have a particularly good voice, then even after melodyne you wont sound amazing. I cant sing for shit, i tuned my vocal using melodyne and it didnt sound that good. So dont worry about it, engineers have been pitch correcting vocals for years, just not this well... It
still takes a decent amount of talent to write a good track, think vocals/lyrics, modes, time sigs etc and then theres the production side...

Any musician confident in their skills shouldn't be intimidated by software like this. It's a tool, whether it's used for good or bad (subjective of course) depends on the person using it. If there's not potential or intent for live shows (say movie/game soundtracks, pure
digital composers etc) it's very useful. Even so, an untalanted or untrained person won't turn into a master composer just because of the softwares existence.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but I really don't know much about Melodyne other than it's ability to tune vocals etc. I
rarely sing out of tune for my own songs, so I don't care too much about that aspect; however, I love triple tracking my lead vocals for that classic Beach Boys sound. My only issue is that I have to do a lot of takes because Im not consistent with how long I hold certain words, or sometimes I s
tart a word early. Can Melodyne line them up sound more like one beefed up track?

Also, if Melodyne can line things up, can you adjust how by how much? or is it automatic. I wouldn't want them perfectly lined up, cos I still want it to seem human. That's also why I'm sorta against fine tuning them. Personally I think singing in tune should be treated like the old days of rock and roll when tuning vocals wasn't an
option, but I don't mind the idea of lining things up a little, cos that's not really cheating talent; it's cheating time.
