@mattmmnnb Well, its currently being remade into a series of four movies mainly referred to as Rebuild. So far, the first two movies have been released and are amazing. The animation is just spectacular. Not to mention,
the changes in plot, a brand new character, and a little more mentally stable cast (especially in Shinji, Asuka, and Rei) keep you from already knowing what's going to happen without sacrificing the integrity of the story. Just search for "Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0" and enjoy! ^_^
