    I wonder what this song would have sounded like if they had recorded it with Terry
     when they had the opportunity. This version just sucks bad. Too fast and no emotion in it at all.

    @coolsweetgroovy: Why promote it any. He had song go viral that was recorded and distributed by a
     "nobody" label. When a song goes to 14 million in '74, that was like 50 today.

    It seems that they didn't 'polish' the song for release. I do like this version for two reasons: 1 It's the original unchanged version
     that was translated into English, 2 It's the Beach Boys. Terry Jacks version is also good, but I think in the long run, I like this better even though it isn't in final finish. Thank You!

    I like this version more than the Terry Jacks version. This version has more realistic and cynical approach to life: he
     is dying and his loved one, Francoise, has cheated him with his good friend. That is how the real life goes. Just be careful, I'll be there.
