    It's about the downfall of America. Thus the references of the homeless veteran and his old picture being shown in his youth when he was in the force. It illustrates the obesity problem, the controlling power of entertainment on society and also the addiction that many Americans suffer from which are
     cigarettes. The best symbolism is the girl wrapped up in the American flag(freedom). You see her fall onto the bed seductively as if she's about to be fucked. Thus waking up clueless in a field.
