    There has been many attempts to make a conversion of the digits of Pi to musical notes, but I noticed that the methods used were pretty unrealistic. What they were doing was to convert the 10 digits of the decimal system in 10 notes, and then play them. Of course that doesn't make any sense because our musical notation has 12 notes! So I converted the digits of Pi to the duodecimal system (Base 12), and made a program to play it. Here are the results.     I downloaded the midi file and played it with four different voices simultaneously with a

     is fascinating - in theory, the permutations of notes are infinite.

    I applaud your creativity and I admire your drive and initiative to create a program; however, PI should be embarrassed for sounding as lame as PHI. If you have not already thought about serializing the rhythm, or applying Pi to it as well, a piece like Boulez' "Structures" might be of some use to you to see how he did it, and you
     should think about octave transpositions if you haven't already. Awesome work though, its way better than anything I could have done:)

    The other methods used aren't unrealistic at all. Musical scales have 8 notes, and you just add the 9th and 10th (0th) up the
     octave... don't see why you need duodecimal.

    π be linked to time and the curvature of spacetime? Could we have π because the quantum wave particle function Ψ of quantum mechanics is spherical? Therefore we have π in Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π and even in the uncertainty between energy and time ∆E ∆t ≥
    h/2π and in the Planck Constant ħ=h/2π Everything is a process over a period of time so π is almost everywhere! Check out Quantum Atom Theory!

     there are eight "unique" symbols, (c,d,e,f,g,a,b,high_c), but to play an octave interval (c-high_c) we do actually have to play the interval: octave

    hey i noticed something if you seperate the sequence when it hits 7 again overlap it back to the start and keep doing this
     until you get all of them ontop of each other and play that and see what it sounds like, then try and loop that sound and post it?
