@1okolawol Some people definitely understand it. I used Super Robot Wars to help me aid my learning at university. Some people play it based on FAQS on Gamefaqs or what not. The basic gameplay is rather simple, mainly muscle memory - definitely doesn't require Japanese. (EG. once you learn that
移動 moves your units, then you can move without understanding the JApanese :) As for the plot, I *think* a lot of them are explained by fans.
