    I think 0:09 - 0:10 of EVA Unit 00 jumping looks like a CG animation shot. I think occasionally the EVAs are CG as well but not in a way that stands out. I would mind CGI in some cases but the examples in this movie are really well executed and look great. I asked someone who saw
     the same movie and they said they didn't even notice any 3D animation for the whole movie.

    Watching the movie I didn't really noticed CG either. Probably because it was so exciting I was busy shouting "WOAH!" in my head. xD You can tell I really like Evangelion. The
     new movies are really good, but on the graphical side I prefer the original series. I liked that animation much more (when it wasn't choppy and ugly as hell because of the low budget they had)

    The Evangelions are CGI rendered, but they utilize shaders to make them
     appear as if they are hand drawn. Same goes for the buildings.

    Rebuild is a revival of the original. It's not a sequel (well, not to the best of my knowledge, this IS Eva after all...) but rather a new continuity altogether. I think this will have a different ending, considering Anno is rich,
     happily married, and gotten some much needed therapy and re cooperation. 1.0 already has Shinji showing more courage and strength of will in one moment than in the original. I think it's time for Anno to reconstruct what he took apart.

     this, the only thing this has on the original is newer anime style (as in it looks more modern)

    The good thing is the CGI isn't all shiny like some other anime. It really blends in with the animated
     characters and such that it could be mistaken for animation :D
